Dr. Edward Gschrey

We are honored to have Dr. Edward Gschrey assist us with care for all our animals.  

 

Dr. Gscrey’s bio:

Graduated Cornell University, 1983, Bachelor of Science in Animal Science with honors and distinction

Graduated first in class, New York State College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell, 1986

Current Secretary-Treasurer, Alumni Association, New York State College of Veterinary Medicine

Former two time president of the Genesee Valley Veterinary Medical Association

Former continuing education planner/director, Genesee Valley Veterinary Medical Association

Member in good standing, American Veterinary Medical Association, New York State VMA, Genesee Valley VMA, Association of Avian Veterinarians

Former member, Board of Directors, Humane Society of Rochester and Monroe County at Lollipop Farm

Practice sees: dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, birds, reptiles and small mammals

Special interests and training in diagnostic ultrasound, laser surgery and exotic animal medicine

Perform services by referral for multiple Rochester area veterinary hospitals in ultrasound, chemotherapy and, most recently, laser surgery

Proud father of two teenage sons, Christopher  a freshman at the Florida Institute of Technology studying Marine Biology and Travis senior at McQuaid Jesuit HS.

Proud owner of two dogs (Yankee, a mix, and Rebel, a German Shepherd and son of Arkahn), three cats, a Goffin's cockatoo, and a cockatiel at home and a whole menagerie at the animal hospital (a ball python, two severe macaws, a red-eared slider, a red-footed tortoise, a box turtle, Sabre---the hospital Persian cat, Johnnie--- the fat cat in the office upstairs, and finally Suzie--- the shy kitty who lives in our kennel)
